About Me

I am Małgorzata Kirago, a Polish artist living in Poland. I like to create on medium and large canvases.

I work with oil or acrylic layer by layer, using mixed techniques. Color is the first thing that attracts attention in the paintings. I create visual artwork and textures using different materials to create structures, that can be felt in touch, showing the light play and shadows in my paintings.

I love traveling and spending time close to nature. I take photos and then transfer these memories back into the studio and intuitively paint onto canvas. The aim for me is to create a painting that has a positive and soothing atmosphere.

In the landscape I find textures and abstract forms that are attractive. It is there that the mixed techniques predominate; often I dispense with the brush and use spatulas or just use a sponge and my fingers!
